Some regions have signs and note cards to tell people how to set there Windlight for optimal viewing in their region. The implementation is so awkward to use few of us bother. Windlight is one of those great ideas the Linden Lab implemented but has never finished. There probably aren’t too many of us using Windlight custom settings. Jessica gave out the above link in the recent Phoenix Hour. The wiki page is incomplete but they are updating it and finishing. The Team is adding a change log (Dec Changes) for viewer updates. It apparently was difficult to fix and has required 4 beta’s worth of testing to get it fixed. Part of the reason this release has taken so long is a hole or exploit was found in the viewer. The other is about Display Names and more about that too. One is about the new Parcel Windlight Settings. The first ones will cover multi-wearables and inventory links. The first announcement is about the creation of a YouTube series of video tutorials in Phoenix’s Channel. Jessica Lyons talked about the coming release in ’s Phoenix Hour. See Nov 30th Office Hour & Contest info Video Tutorials Well, they say the new release of Phoenix will be out this Friday. Some time ago they said there would be one more release of Phoenix before they moved on to the Firestorm viewer, which will be based on Snowstorm code. I mean, I cannot imagine, that I am the only one with that problem. I don't have any SWAP partition, but the memory usage is just 25% (of 4 GB) or less. I remember, it didn't crash in Fedora 11 (or sooner). Using rpm-fusion's Nvidia driver (current version) with Nvidia GTX460. The original Second Life Viewer (ver 3.x) also crashes permanently on F17/x86. i686 compatibelity packages installed, the viewer didn't crash, but in Fedora 32 bit (no matter if with or without PAE Kernel). on crowded areas, I crash after 5.10 seconds. The Phoenix Firestorm Viewer (Version 4.x) crashes permanently. Now I want to switch to Fedora 17 32 Bit. I used to play Second Life (using Phoenix Firestorm) on Ubuntu 10.10. I just had the same problem install catznip browser 32 bit it works perfect out of the box
